How to reach Foreign police in Kosice?
Foreign police in Kosice is located in the following address: Trieda SNP 35, Košice 04011. The easiest way to reach is by taxi (you can use Bolt, Zoberma. Easy Taxi or similar services). If you come by public transport, you can use tram 6, 9, R3, R4 or R7 (the tram stop is called Magistrat mesta Košice), if you come by bus, come to bus stop Ružová (located just next to Galeria shopping mall) by buses 71 or 72. Make sure to punch your ticket after enterring bus or tram, alternative you can use also digitals apps like AntikSmartway or Hopin.

Next to reception, there is Centre of services for foreigners. It is mostly used for registration of Ukrainian refugees and giving them so-called Dočasné útočisko (Temporary shelter) which allows them to stay in Slovakia due to war in Ukraine. Its opened any working day between 7:30am to 15:30, registration is usually required.
If you plan to submit for residence permit, national visa or permanent residence, you need to take stairs and go to the first floor. Once you get upstairs, turn to the left - machine opposite to stairs does not work for taking appointment number, but for payment of administrative fees.
You will enter room with machine, where you can enter PIN code from text message which you received. As you can see, there is also electronic board indicating which room to enter after being called for submission. In case you came with special slot without PIN code, you can continue to room 204 and wait for policeman or police lady.

How do appointments in Foreign police in Kosice work?
You can have two types of appointments for foreign police:
- Appointments via reservation system (portal.minv.sk) - you have exact time of your appointment and need to confirm your place in line by entering PIN code in the Machine. Take the token number and wait until your digit appears on the electronic board
- Special appointment - granted by foreign police by email (usually for students) when you need to go and report to policemen. It is advised to wait next to room 204 where usually people coming with special appointments (Vynimky) are coming.
Where to buy kolok (legal fee for submission of your request)?
You have sucesfully submitted your request for temporary residence, permanent residence or visas. The last step is to pay administrative fee. Usually its possible to do it by both cash and credit card.
You can use machine opposite to stairs. The machine has written KOLKOMAT on the top. Usually policemen give you exact code for purchase of administrative fee so you can enter it manually or you can search for correct category in the machine.
